Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother were arrested on Thursday in separate incidents, marking a dramatic day of law enforcement actions. Kingston was taken into custody during a live performance, while his mother was detained during a SWAT raid at his Florida mansion.

Kingston, 34, whose legal name is Kisean Paul Anderson, was apprehended "without incident" at Fort Irwin, California, during a U.S. Army award ceremony while performing his hit song "Eenie Meenie." The arrest came hours after law enforcement conducted a raid on his 14,000-square-foot rented mansion in Southwest Ranches, Florida, where they arrested his 61-year-old mother, Janice Turner, on fraud charges.

The arrests stem from allegations involving unpaid luxury items, including:

  • A television system valued at $150,000
  • Watch collection worth $1 million

"He's 100 percent a scammer, he's on felony probation right now for trafficking in stolen property," stated attorney Dennis Card, who represents Ver Ver Entertainment. Card added that Kingston allegedly promised Justin Bieber would appear in advertisements for the company in exchange for the television system.

Robert Rosenblatt, the attorney representing both Kingston and Turner, acknowledged the allegations and expressed confidence in reaching a favorable resolution for his clients.

Responding to the incidents, Kingston took to Instagram, stating: "People love negative energy! I am good, and so is my mother!... My lawyers are handling everything as we speak."
